- This coming Friday I will be temporarily stepping down from my post. Harrison Lee, 4th grader extraordinaire, will be Principal for the Day. He'll be shadowing me through an action-packed morning of assembly introductions and parent coffees. Please remember that it is a half day for students.
- Friday's Principal's Coffee will be directed toward parents of current 2nd graders, with information regarding configuration at Smith Elementary next year.
- We will be offering students at grades 3, 4, 7 & 8 a second opportunity at the Oregon Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (OAKS) during the week. Some students who did not quite meet benchmarks will retest; as well, a number of students will be retaking to improve upon their previous scores. Grades 5 and 6 will follow by one week. If you would like your child to retake one of these tests, please contact the teacher.
- I would like to announce a slight schedule change -- Green Up Day will be held on Sunday, May 3rd rather than Saturday, May 2nd.
